OFFICERS DUTIES

~President~

1. Works with adviser to develop an agenda for each meeting.

2. Preside at chapter and executive council meetings using a planned agenda and use basic parliamentary procedure at meetings.

3. Helps group make decisions through member participation.  Keeps meetings lively and interesting.

4. See that necessary committees are formed, and the committee chairs are selected.

5. Knows the duties of all officers and committee chairs and keeps them informed of all chapter business.

6. Starts meeting on time and keeps them moving along.

7. Checks all plans with adviser and school administrator before acting.

8. Promote the chapter to non-members and 6th graders.

9. Help plan chapter activities including but not limited to Kick-Off Event, FCCLA Week and Candy Grams.

10. Serve as TA for the FCS department 1 period a day.

11. Lead the chapter in a positive, professional manner always.

~Vice-President~

1. Assume the duties of president in the president’s absence.  

2. Assists the president as needed.

3. Put up posters or signs at least several days before a meeting.

4. Encourage members to do a “Power of One” project.

5. Make and place FCCLA locker tags on all members lockers. 

6. Help Plan chapter activities including but not limited to Kick-Off Event, FCCLA Week, Candy Grams. 

7. Promote the chapter to non-members and 6th graders.  

8. Lead the chapter in a positive, professional manner always. 

~Secretary~

 

1. Keep an accurate, compete record of attendance at all chapter meetings and activities.

2. Keep an accurate record of members’ points and display for members to see.  

3. Keep a current list of affiliated members.

4. Record dues when paid by members (adviser will give you this information).

5. Keep an accurate record of all chapter income noting date received.

6. Prepare a treasures report for each meeting.

7. Encourage members to complete fundraisers.

8. Help Plan chapter activities including but not limited to Kick-Off Event, FCCLA Week, Candy Grams. 

~VP of Activities~

 

1.​Help plan and organize FCCLA Week Activities. 

 

2.​Form committees and assign members to assist with FCCLA Week plans.

 

3.​Organize and promote Candy Gram sales. 

 

4.​Help plan Back to School Kick Off activity. 

 

5.​Plan and organize any other activities to promote FCCLA to members and other chapters.  

 

6.​Promote the chapter to non-members and 6th graders. 

 

1. Lead the chapter in a positive, professional manner at all times. 

~VP of Public Relations~

In addition to the officer responsibilities, you agreed to when you submitted your application, the specific duties of your office include but are not limited to the following:

 

1. Take pictures of all activities, meetings, and award events for members.  

2. Write new releases and articles for school paper, local newspaper, state and national FCCLA publications.

3. Prepare a PowerPoint Presentation to be used at FCCLA installation in spring. 

4. Help Plan chapter activities including but not limited to Kick-Off Event, FCCLA Week, Candy Grams. 

5. Lead the chapter in a positive, professional manner always.

~VP of District Activities~

1. You are to educate and encourage members about STAR events.

 

2. Serve as a person who can help answer questions about STAR.

 

3. You represent FCCLA on the Student Council Government.  It is your duty to present information from our chapter to student council members.

 

4. You also keep FCCLA members informed of student council activities.

 

5. Make and place STAR locker tags on participants’ lockers.

 

6. Represent the local chapter at the state and district level of FCCLA.

ALL OF THE OFFICERS LEADER AND WILL BE EXPECTED TO BE A POSITVE ROLE MODEL AND LEAD THE CHAPTER AT ALL TIMES DURING THE YEAR.
